What is this critter running free?
What is it doing in my house?
It has a smell so strange to know
I smack, it bounces and turns
I swipe, it rolls and churns
So many legs, surely more than five
Tiny little fangs bared to my surprise
It jumps at my paw like it might kill
Then it runs from the giant’s will
It crawled up my leg and tickled my skin
It spun hair so long and very thin
I flicked it away to watch it fly
It landed shortly more hair did I spy
I sniffed its head to no avail
I thought I swallowed it with my inhale
I licked my nose to better taste
It’s not very filling, what a waste.
